Mr. Owoturo is the Managing Director/ CEO of Coronation Registrars Limited (formerly United Securities Limited), a leading registrar firm in Nigeria and has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He attended Federal Government College Ikot, Ekpene _’O’ Levels), the Federal School of Arts & Science, Aba (‘A’ Levels), and in 1991 graduated with a B.Sc. in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

His career began with Epic Dynamics Limited in 1993 where he worked as an Accountant before moving on to Venture Capital Partners Limited in 1994 as Head, Financial Control & Risk Assets. In January 2002, Mr. Owoturo moved on to F&C Securities where he headed the Management Information Systems Unit. After a brief stint at F&C securities, he joined Hamilton Hammer & Co. Limited (“HH” Now ARM Securities Limited) as Chief Financial Officer/Chief of Operations of Hamilton Hammer & Co. and its wholly owned subsidiary, United Securities Limited (USL) in December 2002.

In December 2007, Hamilton Hammer divested its entire shareholding in USL to Access Bank PLC (Access Bank). Following the divestment, Mr. Owoturo was invited by Access Bank to run United Securities as Managing Director/CEO in January 2008. He was instrumental to the strategic decision by Hamilton Hammer to offer Access Bank a stake in United Securities Limited. He supervised the due diligence exercise conducted on USL by Access Bank and was involved in negotiations with the Bank leading to an eventual deal close.

Mr Owoturo, a technology enthusiast has substantial experience working with information technology professionals to produce bespoke technology solutions. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the Institute of Capital Market Registrars and has served on the Securities and Exchange Commission Capital Market Committee (Sub-Committee) on Market Infrastructure and Technology. He has also received numerous national and international trainings, as he believes in continuous self-improvement. He volunteered as a consultant for the FATE Foundation programme for Aspiring Entrepreneurs and continues to mentor young entrepreneurs on career and business.

With all his professional engagements and achievements, he still manages to find a work-life balance as a devoted husband to a charming wife, and a father of two wonderful children.

A career professional with over 35 years post qualification experience, 15 of which were in the Banking Sector spanning key segments such as Treasury and Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Banking Operations. A Fellow of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR) and the Institute of Capital Marker Analysts (ICMA). He is a graduate of Banking from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He was formerly an Assistant Registrar, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, the pioneer Registrar of Corporate Nominee Limited, Eko International Bank Plc and FIIST Ventures Limited when it was a subsidiary of former First Interstate Bank Plc.

He is a registered Capital Market Operator with the Securities & Exchange Commission; he has also participated in over 25 public issues in the Nigerian Capital Market.

He is the Managing Director of Unity Registrars Limited and has several years of experience in Share Registration.

Catherine Nwosu is an Investment Banker of repute with over twenty (20) years, cognate experience in capital market operations covering primary and secondary market transactions and issuances, managing Register of members of over 80 corporate entities [quoted and unquoted] while providing exceptional experience to both local and international investors.

She holds a BSC in management science from University of Education Winneba, Ghana and a master’s degree from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria. She is a member of various professional bodies some of which are Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria [ICAN], Chartered Institute of Administration of Nigeria, Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria, among others. She has attended various courses both locally and internationally and worked with various committees set up by the Capital market regulators.

Catherine started her working career in the Banking Industry handling various roles. She is the Chief Operating Officer of Africa Prudential Plc, a quoted entity playing in the Registrar and Digital Technical space. She is a Fellow of The Institute of Capital Market Registrars.

Jonathan holds a B.Sc and M.Sc. Degrees in Banking & Finance from Olabisi Onabanjo Univerisity, Ago-Iwoye and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria, and the Institute of Capital Market Registrars. He is also an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSAN). Furthermore, he has received numerous national and international trainings, as he believes in continuous self-development.

Jonathan is the pioneer Managing Director/CEO of PAC Registrars Limited and sits on the Board of several companies. He has previously worked as a Deputy Manager and Registrar of legacy Spring Bank Plc, Registrar of legacy OmegaBank Plc and a Deputy Registrar with United Securities Limited/Hamilton Hammer & Co Limited.

Jonathan also worked in various capacities with First City Merchant Bank Limited (now First City Monument Bank Plc); Leccom Associates and Pius Momodu & Co (Chartered Accountants) where he gained extensive experience in investment banking, auditing and secretarial administration.

Jonathan is married with two children.

Kamal Okunola is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate member of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars. He also has a Diploma in Investment and Securities of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

Kamal is a Professional Practicing Registrar, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Capital Market Operator in Nigeria. He is a Manager and currently Head the Commercial Services Group at DataMax Registrars Limited.

Mr. Okunola is a teacher, a researcher and examiner, he started his career in the services of Ondo State Teaching Service Commission as a secondary school teacher in June, 2000 till January, 2009, when he voluntarily resigned, and joined DataMax Registrars Ltd in February, 2009.

He holds a research Masters Degree (M.A.Ed.) in Test & Measurement, 2009 at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Mr. Okunola also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Statistics, Test and Measurement from the same institution, in 2006. He is a graduate of Mathematics Education (BSc.Ed) in 2001 from Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. He also had Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Computer Science / Mathematics in the year 1995 at the then Ondo State College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti.

Over the years Kamal has received professional development training at notable organizations/ institutions including Lagos Business School (LBS) and Workforce group among others.

Moshood Kamal Okunola is a native of Iwo in Iwo Local Government in the State of Osun. He was born in Ondo town, Ondo West Local Government of Ondo State on 10th October, 1975.

Mr. Okunola is an entrepreneur and private investor. He is a responsible husband and father, married to Hajia Romoke Tawakalit and blessed with children.

Bayo Olugbemi is a self-motivated Investment Banker of over Thirty Seven (37) years standing.  He started his Investment Banking career early in life and has garnered experience in diverse areas of The Capital Market such as Share Registration, Stockbroking, Issuing House functions, Mutual/Unit Trust Fund Management, Treasury Management, Custodian Services and Securities Settlement.  He was instrumental to the establishment and management of many Registrar Outfits and Stockbroking firms. He has traversed the banking landscape having worked in various bank and non-bank financial institutions with varied experiences.

He is an Author of three published books: ADVANCING THROUGH ADVERSITY; ECONOMIC & FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP and WHEN TOMMORROW COMES (preparing for Retirement). He also has to his credit many unpublished works such as The Effect of Shareholders Activism on Corporate Governance Practice in Nigeria; Theory and Practice of Share Registration in Nigeria, just to mention a few.  He is currently a Chief Examiner with The Chartered Institute of Bankers and an External Assessor to Yaba College of Technology.  Bayo has served and is still serving on several committees of the Securities and Exchange Commission; The Nigerian Stock Exchange.   Currently, he is on the Councils of The Institute of Capital Market Registrars, The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria as President/Chairman of Council and Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) as Treasurer.

Bayo has been on the Board of First Registrars & Investor Services Limited for eighteen (18) years serving as the Managing Director/CEO. He was promoted as a General Manager in the First Bank Group effective January 2013.

He is a turnaround specialist who took over the Registrars Department of First Bank and transformed it from loss making to a Multi-Billion Naira venture.  Some of his landmark achievements in the First Bank Group are:

  • Moved First Registrars from shareholder base of about Two Hundred Thousand to Four Million.
  • Moved the company from Ten Million Naira (N10M) in Share Capital to over Twenty Eight Billion Naira (N28 B) in Total Assets.
  • Moved the clientele base from about ten (10) to eighty (80) listed companies through aggressive marketing and excellent service delivery.
  • Led several initiatives that positively impacted the Share Registration Industry in particular and the Nigerian Capital Market in general.
  • Introduced electronic products into the Share Registration Industry:

–       Mobile Access,
    –       E-Share Notifier,

Currently serving as the Group Chairman of JIMS GLOBAL LIMITED, Mr. Henry Adekunle Rowlands retired from the services of the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigeria (the Apex Regulator of the Nigerian Capital Market) on 1st November, 2019 as an Ag. Executive Commissioner (Corporate Services) and Member of the Board of SEC.

As a Member of the SEC Board, Mr. Rowlands served on several Committees. Prior to his appointment as an Ag. Executive Commissioner (Corporate Services), Mr. Rowlands served the SEC in various Managerial capacities, which include:

    i) Ag. Executive Commissioner (Legal & Enforcement);
    ii) Ag. Supervising Executive Commissioner (operations);
    iii) Director, Capital Market Development;
    iv) Director, External Relations; and
    v) Head, Enterprise Information & Communication Technology (ICT) – between 2009 and 2015.

In addition to serving for 2 years as a member of the Technical Committee on Capital Market Development for the West African Securities Regional Association (WASRA), Mr. Rowlands, as part of his career, also served as Chairmen of a number of Nigerian Financial Services Committees.

Mr. Rowlands is happily married with Children

Ezekiel Oni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Institute of Capital.

He began his Accounting career with the KPMG Nigeria in 1991. In 1999 he joined Unilever of Nigeria Plc as a Treasury Accountants. He later moved to Haliburton Energy Service Nigeria Limited in 2000 as Central West African Accountant (CWA) and a Commuting Accountant to Halliburton Energy Services in Cameroun.

Ezekiel joined First Registrars in 2004 as Deputy Manager in charge of the Finance and Account Department. Currently, he is a Deputy General and the Head, Finance and Systems Division at First Registrars and Investor Services Limited.

He is a senior pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God and an Author.
He is married with Children.

Mercy commenced her banking career at the Registrar department section of Union Bank Nigeria Plc and worked in the various departments and branches of the bank till the year 2000 when she joined another company (First Registrars Ltd) as Head, Customer services.

She was subsequently moved to Business Development unit as Assistant Head and later as Head Special Products Unit, the position she held until her employment in 2005 to Oceanic Registrars (later changed to EDC Registrars Ltd) as a pioneer staff in the capacity of Head of Operations.

Mercy graduated from the Lagos State University with a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Studies. She has undergone many trainings both local and International. She is registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission as a sponsored individual of the Company, a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN), Associate member of The Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR).

She is also an Associate member of Business Continuity Institute and Relationship Management and Sales Effectiveness (United Kingdom). She has over thirty years Banking Industry experience shared between Retail banking and Investment banking sectors.

In April 2018, she was appointed as the Acting Managing Director of EDC Registrars Ltd and in October 2019 her position as the Managing Director was confirmed. Currently she is the Managing Director/Registrar of EDC Registrars Ltd.

Obong Idiong is the Managing Director/CEO of Africa Prudential Plc. Prior to joining Africa Prudential, Obong was the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Heirs Holdings Limited, an African proprietary investment company where he oversaw the legal responsibilities of the company’s investment portfolios in Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Financial Services, Agri-business, Health Care and Hospitality.

Specific responsibilities included transaction advisory, implementation and institutionalization of governance frameworks, mergers and acquisitions, business incubation, compliance, and regulatory. He also served as the Company Secretary’s/Legal Adviser of Africans Properties PLC.

Obong Idiong worked in various capacities in United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) including as a Legal Officer in the Legal/Company Secretariat before proceeding to become the Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of UBA. In that position, he was responsible for business development, strategy, research, customer service, and legal advisory. Prior to this, he held various positions at Alpha Juris Chambers, Lagoon Home Savings & Loans Limited, and Standard Trust Bank (now UBA Plc).

With over 17 years of post-call working experience in corporate and commercial legal practice, banking, finance and investment advisory services, he is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Society of Corporate Governance of Nigeria. He holds an LLM degree (International Finance and Banking), an MBA, LL.B (Hons), and BL.

Mr. Onyema is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc. Prior to attaining this position, he was the CEO of The Nigerian Stock Exchange for 10 years. In his current role, he is the Chairman of the Group Executive Committee. He is also the Chairman of two affiliate companies: Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS), the clearing, settlement and depository for the Nigerian capital market; and NG Clearing Limited, which is the premier Central Counter Party Clearing House (CCP) in Nigeria. He serves on several other boards and committees domestically and internationally including Pension Commission of Nigeria (PENCOM), London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Africa Advisory Group (LAAG), and the Membership Committee of the World Federation of Exchanges.

He was the President of African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) between 2014 and 2018. He has served as a Council member of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS); Global Agenda Council member of World Economic Forum (WEF); and Board member of FMDQ OTC Plc (now FMDQ Securities Exchange Plc). Prior to relocating to Nigeria, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at American Stock Exchange (Amex). He also ran the NYSE Amex equity business after the merger of NYSE Euronext and Amex in 2008.

Mr. Onyema is the proud awardee of the Nigerian national honour, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON); Fellow of the Institute of Directors (IOD); Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS); Associate of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in the UK; and Holder of FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 in the USA. Forbes listed him as one of the ten most powerful men in Africa in 2015.

Mr. Onyema holds a B.Sc (Computer Engineering) (1991) from Obafemi Awolowo University, MBA (Finance and Investments) (1998) from Baruch College, New York. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) of Harvard Business School (2015).

Prof. Olanrewaju is a thorough bred professional and seasoned academic. He belongs to many professional organisations among which is the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He is currently a council member of CIBN and National Treasurer of the Institute with over 27 years of continuous service to our great Institute. He Co-Authored several books and Articles in Learned Journals.

Mrs Mubo Roseline Olasoko is a 1990 graduate of University of Jos where she obtained a Bachelors of Arts Degree. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria. She has attended several Executive Management programs including the Harvard Business School, The Wharton School, London Business School and Columbia Business School amongst others.

She has a total of about twenty five years work experience, fifteen of which is in the Capital Market of Nigeria. Her work experience spans banking, business development, customer service and general administration. She is currently the MD/CEO of Meristem Registrars Limited, a position she has held since 2008.

Ayoola is the Managing Director/CEO of CardinalStone Registrars. Prior to CardinalStone Registrars, Ayoola was the head of Structured Finance Unit at CardinalStone Partners, where he led several transactions on debt structuring, project finance and capital raising. Prior to CardinalStone Partners, Ayoola held roles with Wizer Advisory, Zenith Bank Plc and Zenith Trustees Limited.

Ayoola holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and an M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting from Aston Business School, Birmingham.

Haruna Jalo-Waziri is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS), a position he assumed in November 2017. He has overall responsibility for delivering on the company’s vision and mission. Since taking over at the helm, he has driven a number of strategic initiatives, leading to notable efficiency gains and repositioning the company for sustainable growth.

Mr. Jalo-Waziri has three decades hands-on experience across multiple financial disciplines, with a career spanning Investment Banking, Securities Trading, Pension Funds Administration and conventional Asset Management, Business development and Regulation. He is an award-winning Executive, with reputable track record in leading successful start-ups and business transformations.

Prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer of CSCS Plc, he was Executive Director, Capital Markets at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, with primary responsibility for deepening the market through products, market structure innovation and new listings, as well as generating order flow across all asset classes. Under his stewardship, the partnership between the NSE and the London Stock Exchange was established, an alliance which has birthed a number of dual listings on these Bourses. He led the launch of the Premium Board on the NSE, distinguishing value companies with strong governance practices and creating enhanced liquidity flow for the counters. He also led the introduction of the Nigerian Sovereign Green Bond as well as the Federal Government Retail Savings Bonds. Mr. Jalo-Waziri previously served as Managing Director/Chief Executive at both UBA Stockbrokers Limited and UBA Asset Management Limited, transforming the businesses to becoming top-5 in their respective segments. He also pioneered the asset management business of Kakawa Discount House Limited (now FBN Merchant Bank) and previously worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Haruna is a Director on the Board of NG Clearing Limited and the Board of Special Olympics Nigeria. He is on the Advisory Board of Business Day and currently serves as Vice President of the AIFA Reading Society, an NGO, which focuses on promotion of a reading culture and sustainable development of the educational system in Africa. He has served on the Boards of several companies, including FSDH Merchant Bank Limited, Nigeria-German Chemicals Plc, Protea Oakwood Hotel Limited, Coral Properties Limited, UBA Stockbrokers Limited and UBA Asset Management Limited to mention a few. He is a life member of the Institute of Directors.

Mr. Jalo-Waziri is an economist, and an alumnus of reputable institutions, including the Lagos Business School and Venture Capital Institute of America. He holds a first degree and MBA from the University of Maiduguri and the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University respectively.

Lamido Yuguda began his career with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as Senior Supervisor, Foreign Operations Department in 1984 with responsibility for maintaining Nigeria’s external debt records.

He was redeployed to the Banking Supervision Department in 1985 to work on prudential regulation and bank licensing, and moved again in 1988 to the Debt Conversion Committee Secretariat to join the pioneer staff tasked with managing the Nigerian Debt Conversion Programme.

In 1992 he was reposted to the Foreign Operations Department where he rose through the ranks to become the Senior Manager, Investment Office with responsibility for external debt service and investment of the CBN’s external reserves in a liquid portfolio of cash, fixed-term deposits, and foreign government treasury bills.

In 1997 he joined the staff of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC, USA as an economist in the Africa Department where he worked on the assessment of economic policies and management of balance of payment support programs in IMF member countries.

He returned to the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2001 where he was assigned the task of leading a staff team charged with restructuring and diversifying the CBN’s growing foreign exchange reserve portfolio.

This resulted in the development and adoption of a new investment policy, the introduction of new asset classes, the appointment of a reputable global custodian and asset managers, the selection of a state-of-the-art portfolio management system, as well as the upgrading of the CBN’s in-house fixed income trading and settlement capabilities.

Mr. Yuguda reached the pinnacle of his career at the Central Bank of Nigeria as Director of the Reserve Management Department from 2010 to 2016, where he inculcated a strong risk-aware investment culture and engendered a disciplined approach to investment evaluation. He retired voluntarily in 2016.

Mr. Yuguda has attended leadership training programmes at leading business schools including Harvard, INSEAD, IMD, Saïd, Wharton, Haas, and London. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a CFA.

Mr. Yuguda brings to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) more than three decades of experience as a central banker, economist, and investment manager.
